I'm Misa, an English-speaking guide with various experience in hospitality industry that I had so many customers and guests from overseas.
Also, I had hosted many foreign guests privately until I got married in 2017.
Through my experience both at work and in private, I learned that there were lots and lots of foreign people who had hard time traveling in Japan for not being able to communicate in Japanese.
That's why I started this job.
Hakodate is a very attractive city for both locals and tourists.
With the history of opening Hakodate Port for international trade in 1859 along with Yokohama and Nagasaki, which was the first in Japan, Hakodate developed in a unique way with a mix of Japanese and European culture.
It still remains in various ways, such as beautiful streetscape in Motomachi district.
In Goryokaku Park, you'll be amazed by gorgeous cherry blossoms, beautiful wisteria trellis and lovely azalea flowers in spring.
From the top floor of Goryokaku Tower located next to the park, you could also enjoy the scenery of Hakodate city day and night as well as the park's five-pointed-star shape.
Yunokawa area in Hakodate is one of the three best hot spring resorts in Hokkaido and is the only one located along the coast.
There is even a free hot spring footbath and a tropical botanical garden that uses the heat of hot spring.
In the botanical garden, you can also enjoy feeding Japanese monkeys.
No worries. If you want, I can take you to some local sweets shop or restaurant to feed yourself as well!
